BRO. DENNIS FELSTEAD, ROH, PPGP 1995



We are very sad to report the Passing of Brother Dennis, a member of both the Fenman and Eastgate Lodges will be missed by all the Brothers of the Peterborough & District Province of which he was PGP in 1975.
Dennis was also a stalwart Brother of the now closed King George Lodge in Whittlesey.


 

Brother Dennis' Funeral Service will take place at 14:30 on Thursday 1st of March at Peterborough Crematorium.
It will include a full Buff Funeral Service with a Guard of Honour on his arrival & following the service.



Dennis served in the RAF as a Propulsion Technician, his postings included three tours of duty as a Vulcan Crew-Chief.



2017 Eastgate Lodge Charity Appeal The Samaratins.

Following its meeting on 10th January the Eastgate Lodge of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes presented a cheque for £5,000 to Peterborough & District Samaritans. Bro’ Pete Pierce, who with his wife Anne collected the largest proportion of the total at dozens of car boot sales throughout the year, said ‘…. We are pleased to be able to support such a worthy cause with a local presence here in Peterborough ….’


Allan McGeachie, local Branch Treasurer of the Samaritans expressed surprise at the gift ‘ ….this truly splendid donation is more than we could have hoped. It will be used to save lives in 2018 ….’

2016 EASTGATE LODGE CHARITY APPEAL PRESENTATION

£3,000 Donation to local Charities

Members of the Eastgate Lodge have raised money for charity over 2016 and on the 14th of December the Lodge presented cheques for £1,000 each to Peterborough Medehamstede Scouts, Peterborough & District Samaritans and Peterborough Talking Newspaper for the Blind.

 

Barry Burrell from the Talking Newspaper summed up the feelings of all three charities ……. This donation for local causes is very much appreciated and we thank the Buffaloes for their support ………….

Newspapers,by Bro. Pete Pierce of the Eastgate Lodge.

accepting on behalf of Peterborough Samaritans.




A representative from the 1st Medehamstede Scouts was not available, holding the cheque are Bro. Bill Smith, ROH & Bro. Steve Jones, ROH, PPGP 2012.

2014 Lodge Charity Appeal

Fundraising has continued all year, we have held a 'Hog Roast' Night, also Pete & Ann have been Car Booting with massive support from the Province.



The presentation to Peterborough Soup Kitchen took place on Wednesday 7th of January. Bro. Pete Pierce ROH and Bro. Richard Baldock PPGP, handed over a cheque for £4363:47.


 

2013 Lodge Charity Appeal

Bro. Pete Pierce ROH and his Good Lady, Anne, have finished 'Car Booting' for 2013 and thank everyone for their support during a very sucessful year.

 Pete and Anne raised £3000 in 2013, a fantastic effort.



Anne is ready with the stall all set up for another busy day.
